We know that Ooltewah drivers are anxious for the arrival of the 2022 Chevy Camaro, which has repeatedly had its release date changed. The most recent news is good—production plans have been moved up a month from September to August. In the meantime the GM Lansing Grand River production plant in Michigan is still producing the 2021 Camaro, and there are still 2020 Camaro models available. How do the two most recent Camaro model years compare? Take a look at them with Mtn. View Chevrolet, then shop our Chevy Camaro inventory.

2021 Camaro vs. 2020 Camaro: Engines

Dalton drivers won’t find many differences in the 2021 Camaro vs. 2020 Camaro, especially under the hood. There are four powertrain options available in both model years, with horsepower topping out at a whopping 650 hp thanks to a 6.2L Supercharged V8 DI engine. If your budget demands a less powerful Camaro, you’ll still enjoy the 275 hp capacity of the base level 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.

2021 Camaro vs. 2020 Camaro: Transmissions

Like the engines, you won’t find any differences in your transmission choices. However, while both the 2021 Camaro vs. 2020 Camaro offer a fun-to-drive six-speed manual transmission, the newer model has the option of easy-to-use paddle shifters. This gives you the control of a manual transmission on Athens streets without the hassle of using a clutch. It’s a great option for drivers who want that control without the work of a manual.

2021 Camaro vs. 2020 Camaro: Design

There weren’t any major design changes from the 2021 Camaro vs. 2020 Camaro. All the dimensions remain the same. The one difference is in exterior paint options. 2021 added the burgundy-leaning Infrared Tintcoat and lost both shades of green—deep Sequoia Green and the brighter Evergreen Metallic. If you want a green Camaro you might need to shop our used inventory
