Aerodynamic and aggressive, the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and 2018 model are sports cars with legendary status. The Performance Data Recorder and Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system are installed in the racing-inspired cockpits of these stylish cars.

Performance

Designed by some of Chevrolet’s most brilliant engineers, a 6.2 L V8 engine is standard in the 2019 and 2018 Corvette Stingray. Using direct injection, this powertrain whips out a maximum of 460 horsepower. You get up to 465 pound-feet of torque from this eight-cylinder engine that runs on Variable Valve Timing. It only takes 3.7 seconds for the Corvette Stingray to achieve a speed of 60 MPH from takeoff. Both Chevy models offer a seven-speed manual transmission system that’s enhanced by the Active Rev Matching. If you need more gear options, get the eight-speed automatic transmission system. The 2019 and 2018 Corvette Stingray carry the Magnetic Ride Control technology that neutralizes shocks and vibrations. Painted brake calipers by Brembo are also installed on these agile Chevy sports cars.

Digital Technology

The Performance Data Recorder is a sophisticated digital module that monitors the 2019 and 2018 Corvette Stingray in real time. You can even download the data from this console onto a compatible SD card. You may set the PDR system to operate on the Track, Sport, Performance and Tour modes. The Cosworth Toolbox is a software that provides supplemental features that analyze all of the details of your ride.

The G forces, tire pressure, oil temperature and battery voltage are some of the parameters that appear on this advanced display. Additional data is shown on the head-up display (HUD) that’s seamlessly incorporated into the front windshield. The Chevrolet MyLink multimedia system is another high-tech amenity that’s installed in these super cars. This console includes an 8.0-inch touch screen with an array of applications, including GPS, Android Auto and SiriusXM. Both vehicles have 4G LTE Wi-Fi that’s part of an OnStar plan.

Style

The 2019 and 2018 Corvette Stingray models have air extractors on the hood and rear intake vents. These high-performance features are inspired by installations that are typically set up on racing cars. Sculpted Bi-Xenon headlights add aggressive styling and extra utility to the front grille. Covered in polished stainless steel, the four exhaust tips also emphasize the aggressive stance of these vehicles. Both Chevy models can be fitted with custom wheels that have five spokes with a touch of chrome, aluminum and other premium finishes. The hot color palette for the 2019 and 2018 Corvette Stingray includes Long Beach Red, Torch Red and Racing Yellow. Sebring Orange is an all-new body color that’s available for the 2019 edition.
