A sleek and cool muscle car, the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro gets some upgrades in exterior styling, digital technology and under the hood. The all-new Infotainment 3 system replaces the MyLink system from the previous year. You can also select a 10-speed automatic transmission for the 2019 model. Just like in 2018, the updated Camaro is available as a coupe or convertible.
New Design Updates for the 2019 Camaro:
If you’re familiar with the Camaro, then you’ll immediately notice some of the subtle changes in the 2019 model. The hood is more chiseled compared to the previous year. A new flowtie design has been integrated into the updated front grille. LED bulbs are combined with halogen lamps to project powerful illumination. A front air extractor and rear diffuser enhance the aerodynamic capabilities of the 2019 Camaro. The housings for the rear LED tail lights are also available with dark housings and outlines for an extra aggressive look. Additionally, 20-inch wheels with new finishes are offered in the 2019 trim.
New 2019 Camaro Hardware Upgrades:
The 2019 Camaro retains several engine blocks from the previous year. Capable of producing nearly 300 pound-feet of torque, a 2.0L turbocharged engine gets an entry-level label. This compact powertrain works with a 6-speed manual transmission system. The 2018 Camaro offers an eight-speed automatic transmission system, compatible with paddle shifters. For 2019, Chevrolet has replaced this with a new gearbox with 10 ratios. Both models have rear-wheel drive (RWD) for superb traction. The 2019 and 2018 Camaro also have the Performance Data Recorder, which measures racing-style parameters in real time.
New Interior Technology Features:
For 2019, Chevrolet released the all-new Infotainment 3 system – A next-generation digital technology. This multimedia hub is available with 7 and 8-inch touch screens. The 2018 Camaro offers the Chevrolet MyLink hub in similar screen sizes and interactive interfaces. Both systems have GPS navigation, colorful maps and real-time data on SiriusXM. Although changes seem minor, the Infotainment 3 system offers improved connectivity. For example, voice commands and the main menus are now easier to navigate. Bluetooth, 4G Wi-Fi by OnStar, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available in both models.
